Wow! Nippy is 40...or is this Critter 14?
Let's check out some of his birthday celebrations...
It had been some time since any of us on our team had been to the capital
(aside from those fun--and quick--orthodontist appointments
Allie and Mom have been making), so we decided it would be fun to head
that way, get Steven from the airport from his India trip and then have some fun!
We wound up at this really cool place called Excel World.
There's all kinds of stuff to do there...here we are getting our tickets to go in...

First stop, bowling!

The little ones had a lane all to themselves...
as did the big ones...
Stopping for a pose--
And the winner is...
Yep, the birthday boy! You go, dawg!
Next stop--FOOD!
Can anyone say PIZZA! If they only delivered 3 hours away, we'd be set huh?
We'll take it when we can get it though!
While we were waiting for our turn at lazer tag, some of the kids did two movies in the 4D theater, while the smaller ones played in the arcade, and the daddies played pool.
AND THEN...WAR!!!
These dudes look like they could mess somebody up, don't they?
I wouldn't wanna mess with these two either!

Yes, the adults did get to play--and the older girls got to play with them--ladies against men. Sorry we forgot the pic!
The girls didn't want the birthday boy to go home with no dignity, so again, the guys won.
And just so they could really have some dignity, they let them win about 8000 to 1000!
After a little more playing in the arcade we started on the long trip home--unless Uncle Archer* is driving, which he was...we made that sometimes 3 1/2 hour trip in under 2 1/2 hours! But before we leave the capital, we've gotta have one more stop for food...KFC!

Now what else could a 40--or 14 year old want for a birthday to remember?

Ah, looks like a special father son outing... how sweet.
Along with some friends at the beach? Do what?
Tell me he's not...no, that couldn't be the 40 year old...
--learning to surf???
Yep, on his 40th birthday he decided it was time!
Here's Cabo catchin' a wave!

Looks like father and son wanna do a duet...

And they're up--

And they're down...well, where'd they go?

Ah, there they are!

What cuties!
Hang loose, my friends! 40 ain't so bad!
Happy 40th Birthday, Stevie...you da man!
After a day at the beach, what better than Mexican--South Asia style...
That would be homemade sourcream (from curd), homemade salsa and
a substitute of pasta for the taco shells...not so bad!
Save some room for cake...we didn't get too creative with this one, did we?
Actually, there wasn't enough room for all the candles!!!
Don't miss one!

Time for cards and gifts!

Daniel's surfer dude...

What a guy!
Happy 40th Birthday to the best hubby and daddy anyone could ask for!
We sure love you!
