Our Baby Brookie is FOUR!!

Oh, my word! Say it ain't so!

Our little Brookie is four!

Yep...that she is!
It is so hard to believe that when we first came to South Asia,
Brooke was only EIGHT MONTHS old!!
Many of her "firsts" were celebrated here...
Here's a pic on her very first birthday...

Wow! Here's Brookie on her birthday last week, April 29th, celebrating with her birthday breakfast--Frosted Flakes and Coco's! I'd say she's changed just a bit! Because Allie and Mom had just arrived early morning on her b-day from Bangkok, (BTW, Huge thank you to all of you prayer warriors out there during this "storm"-God is good!), we decided to have her party on Saturday, but we did watch her "birth" video (and saw lots of YOU!) and have cake and a few presents... Yeah! It's Dora! Happy Birthday, Brookie!

Saturday, PARTY TIME!!

We started with coloring "Boots"...You know it had to be a Dora party! Mom was gonna try and be real good and have a map and "Swiper"...but with the circumstances, we did good to have what we did!! Boy, those guys are working hard!

Brookie making sure her buddy from Montessori, Shemaya, feels at home... And what's the big kids doing?? Waiting on other friends...this is South Asia! Did we say 4 o'clock?

Now, everyone's here...time to get started with the rest of the fun!

Pin-Boots-Near-Dora! Brooke's first! Erin giving it a try...

Wyatt's next!
Go Chami!
Next on the agenda...wall-hangings...
The Birthday Girl...
What a mess!
But lots of fun!
"I think I want 'dis one!"
Brooke and her Montessori girlfriends
Cool dudes...
Time for cake!
The whole gang!
What a cutie!

Brooke's "nangi"--her "little sister" (Somitri* and Heshni's* little girl) couldn't come because she had a fever,
but she did send a gift...this cute little hat.
Mommy wanted a sweet picture, but someone didn't wanna stop opening presents...
"Can you please hurry up?" she seems to be saying!

Ok, ok, enough!
There we go!

----
If only we could put into words these last four years with little Brooke...WOW! How we praise the Lord that when He "settled [this] barren woman in her home as the happy mother of children," (Psalm 113:9), He included her in the mix. What a joy she has been! From her silly little antics to her pure South Asian flare--she keeps us laughing!
She is exactly what her name implies, "refreshing spirit"!
Please join us in praying for her as she grows to become a young girl who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways, who does not turn to the right or the left, but who loves Him with all of her heart, all of her soul, all of her mind and all of her strength.
To God be the Glory, Great things He hath done!!!
Happy Birthday, chudi du!
